In March of 2022

We answered the call of God to plant a church in Willimantic CT. Like Abraham by faith, we went out, not knowing where we were going.

We started meeting for bible studies in a local McDonald’s where we had favor with the staff and were able to make connections in the community. We are now continuing to walk by faith and expecting to see the kingdom of God increase in Willimantic and throughout all of Windham County.

We are a Christ centered, Spirt filled, Bible believing church with the heart to build Community Connections.

We have been walking in this verse, And as you go, preach, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:7-8)

Our Vision Strategies

1. Evangelizing the lost through Community Connections (Luke 14:23, Rom. 10:14-15)

2. Empowering purpose through discipleship. (Matt. 28:18-20)

3. Expanding the kingdom through Church Planting. (Matt. 16:18-19)

Next Steps As A Church

We laid our foundation, and now we are growing our community in the name of Jesus. Our next steps as we progress as a church is to advance the kingdom of God, and plant additional churches where we feel we are being called to.

Message From Genesis

We are so incredibly blessed to be a part of what God is doing in Willimantic! The journey has had its ups and downs but God has carried us victoriously through it all. He has opened doors for us to truly show the love of God to those in need.

We are most grateful for the people he has surrounded us with. We can’t thank you all enough for how much you show up and support our ministry. Every month we are so amazed at how much support we get through our Amazon Wishlist, people showing up to help prepare the meal and serve it and those who cheer us on through Facebook.

Thank you for serving with us to be His hands and feet. Thank you for showing up to show the love of God to those in need. You are truly loved and appreciated by the Genesis Leadership Team.
