About GenKids
Our Children’s Church (GenKids) will begin at the same time, right after worship music. We allow children of all ages that would like to begin their journey in learning about God. We know that regular church service can be a little overwhelming for young children who are just starting out or do not like sitting for long periods of time in regular church. Bible lessons, interactive games, arts and crafts, and snacks! Children of Eden will end at the same time as regular service, and then the children will be escorted back to their parents.
Current Lesson
In 2025 GenKids will be learning about who God says they are! In March we will be learning what God says about worship, exploring different expressions of worship and how our lives can be a form of worship.
Latest Lessons
- GenKids children’s church class visited the 19th book of the Bible on our road trip, Psalm. They learned the book of Psalms includes a lot of poems and songs that were written by David and others to praise God. They also learned that God is a loving, trustworthy friend who sees the beauty in them and that a life with Jesus as their Savior is blessed with love, joy, peace and truth!
- GenKids are excited to be starting a new Bible Study on the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus!
During this study the kids will be tasked with creating bracelets that will be put in little satchels with an invitation to church!
Once the bracelets are completed, the children will be sent out into the Willimantic community to hand out and place the satchels in high traffic areas where they can be found (like painted rocks or the crochet for kindness campaign)
